Psychotherapy For Meaningful Change

Professional Psychotherapy Tailored To You

The Therapy Co is a private psychotherapy practice founded by Therapeutic Specialist Kaitlin Boughey, a qualified Psychotherapist BSc (Hons), MSc, MBACP, offering integrative, evidence-based therapeutic work, with a particular interest in Positive Psychology.

The practice offers a calm, confidential and professional space to explore what is happening in your life, make sense of challenges and engage in meaningful psychological change. Therapy is approached collaboratively and thoughtfully, shaped around you rather than a fixed model or agenda.

Our work draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology. Trauma-informed practice underpins all work, with careful attention to pace, boundaries and the therapeutic relationship.

Sessions are offered both in person and online, allowing flexibility while maintaining depth and continuity of care. The focus is on creating a steady, reflective space where insight can develop and change can be integrated in a way that feels sustainable and grounded.

Consultations

Free 15-Minute Consultation

Taking the first step can feel uncertain. A free, no-obligation consultation offers space to ask questions, share what’s bringing you to therapy and explore whether working together feels right for you.

This initial conversation is relaxed and informal, giving you the opportunity to understand the therapeutic approach and decide, at your own pace, how you would like to move forward.

Online & Telephone Sessions

From £50.00

Online and telephone sessions offer flexibility while maintaining depth and continuity of care. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place via secure video link or telephone, allowing therapy to fit around your life.

Many clients find working from a familiar environment helps them feel at ease, making online therapy as effective and meaningful as face-to-face sessions.

Face to Face Sessions

From £65.00

In-person sessions offer a calm, grounded space to reflect and work through what’s on your mind. Held in a quiet and comfortable setting, these 50-minute sessions allow for a more contained therapeutic experience for those who value presence and connection.

Face-to-face therapy can feel particularly supportive for deeper or longer-term therapeutic work.

Consultancy& Advocacy

The Consultancy & Advocacy service supports individuals, families, and organisations where mental health, emotional wellbeing, or neurodivergent needs are impacting engagement within a system. I work across a range of settings, including education, care, health, workplace, and community environments to provide therapeutic insight, advocacy and clear, trauma-informed recommendations without blame or escalation. This may include attending meetings, advising on reasonable adjustments, and supporting environments, communication, and approaches that protect dignity, well-being, and the individual’s capacity to engage.

Letters & Reports

From £30.00

Where appropriate, tailored letters or reports can be provided to support therapeutic work or respond to external requirements. This may include documentation for GPs, schools, social care, housing, benefit applications or legal proceedings.

All reports are approached carefully and written with sensitivity, clarity and professionalism.

Referral Network

Not every therapist is the right fit for every person. Where additional or alternative support is needed, referrals can be made through a trusted network of qualified therapists with a range of specialisms.

This ensures you are supported in finding the right therapeutic care, even where it may not be appropriate to work together directly.

    Client Review - Oct’ 2025

  • When you’re stuck in a difficult situation or trapped in your own thoughts, it's difficult to move forward. You know what needs to be done, but you need guidance and better coping strategies. Getting everything out, all the things you usually bury, was such a release, and Kaitlin was really supportive throughout. She genuinely wants to see people doing well and becoming their best versions, but she also holds your hand through the rough and lets you process things in your own way. I’m so thankful for the sessions I had and the support she gave me.
